VANRATH are excited to be working alongside a leading not for profit organisation based in Belfast are actively seeking a Procurement Officer to join their team on an initial interim contract.

• Salary - £38,000 to £42,000
• Initial interim contract (6 months)

About your next employer

Reporting to the Head of Procurement you will be responsible for the provision of best practice procurement and contract management services within a category area or manage a specialist area of work within Procurement Services.

About you

• Hold a third level qualification (HNC or above) or equivalent and one years' demonstrable experience working in a procurement or purchasing environment
• Demonstratable experience in the use of Information Technology systems (or other etendering systems)
• High attention to detail
• Sound knowledge of NI Public Procurement / Public Contract Regulations 2015
• Excellent organisational skills

What you'll do

• Manage end to end procurement process to deliver value for money solutions for clients
• Responsible for the day to day management of functional activities within a category area
• Exercise judgement or discretion within a framework of rule, practice and precedent and will be required to identify and select the most appropriate course of action from a range of options
• Undertaking research and investigation, analysis of results and devising recommendations
