VANRATH assisting a global leader in manufacturing with the recruitment of a Procurement & Supply Chain Manager to join the team.

Flexible Start times from either 07:30,08:00 or 08:30 and finish time being 16:00,16:30 or 17:00

The office is based in Larne with some cross functional requirement to two sites. Permanent position.

Salary

£50,000 - £60,000 + Prvt Medical +10% Pension, 31 Hols and more fantastic benefits.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a raw materials sourcing strategy that is aligned to the business strategy. This will include identification and delivery of meaningful cost-saving opportunities and fostering deep market intelligence within the Purchasing team to optimise the supply chain.
  • Development of a centralised procurement function for selected departmental overhead spend to drive synergies, quality and reduce costs.
  • Develop a reliable, cost-effective framework of hauliers operating UK and Ireland wide, setting the standard for industry leading service to the customer base.
  • Support the delivery of the company's energy objectives, including ownership of near-term procurement and contributing to longer-term decarbonisation planning.
  • Enhance systems and processes to advance the company's MRP automation, delivering the right quantity and quality of raw materials on time to the manufacturing facility.
  • Identify risks in continuity of supply and market volatility and put in place appropriate mitigation strategies
  • Support the company and internal stakeholders in delivering high quality capital expenditure solutions to maximise return on investment and long-term asset life.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Demonstrable continuous improvement skills/credentials using recognised frameworks on process improvement.
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience gained at management level.
  • Experience in managing incoming supply chains for a manufacturing environment using international procurement markets.
  • Demonstrable experience of overseeing and processing MRP.
  • Strong leadership skills to include delegation, mentoring, coaching, support, and encouragement.
  • Ability to work at a strategic and operational level.
  • Strategic and pragmatic decision making.
  • Strong customer focus.
  • Commercially and financially astute.
  • Proven ability to communicate and present solutions at a senior management and board level.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a strong eye for detail.
  • Strong influencing skills with ability to influence upwards, downwards, and lateral.
  • Computer literate with all Microsoft Office packages.
  • Prioritise opportunities to maximise company performance in line with strategic objectives.
  • Able to work flexible hours as required and to travel as required to ensure business needs are met
  • Able to work away from home if required
  • Possess a full current driving licence
