VANRATH are delighted to be supporting the recruitment for a Procurement Analyst for a leading Public Sector organisation. This is an initial interim contract with an immediate start date.

About your next employer

Be responsible to the Procurement Development Manager, supporting Commercial and Procurement Services and the council in achieving aims and objectives by collating, validating and analysing a range of commercial and procurement data, providing high quality management information and recommendations to the council.
Ensure that the data collated is relevant, up-to-date and accurate.

Be responsible for and assist with the development of, appropriate systems for the effective management and use of information.

About you

  • Relevant third level qualification in Business Studies, Public Administration Accountancy or equivalent.
  • Minimum 1 years' experience in a similar role
  • CIPS membership
  • Competent using Microsoft Office applications
  • Excellent organisational skills

What you'll do

  • Develop appropriate systems and internal databases for the capture of high quality data and production of management information.
  • Collate, validate and analyse a full range of commercial and procurement data across the organisation and provide robust baseline information.
  • Provide operational support for procurement systems, including data input and maintenance, and responding to internal customer procurement requests
  • Work in collaboration with the Procurement Systems Lead to ensure the most effective provision of data and management information is provided from all sources.
  • Assist in monitoring and reporting on department compliance in relation to procurement activity, for example, in use of contracts and catalogue items, to ensure best practise.
  • Identify innovative approaches to improve data analysis and procurement activity across the organisation.
