Process Engineer / Manufacturing Engineer

Vanrath are recruiting for a Process Technician to join our international plastic manufacturing client based in Newtownabbey, Co Antrim.

Reporting to the Production Manager you will assist in the daily co-ordination of site reliability improvement initiatives and support improvement within the department.

Duties

  • Plan, coordinate and implement the most cost effective and efficient manufacturing methods for production of major sub-assembly components and machines
  • Coordinate with, production and quality control to help identify any issues affecting production and establish what fixes are required
  • Development of lean manufacturing principles in key areas
  • Work alongside the production team to identify skills required from production operators and develop
  • Assist with the machine and process training of operators and supervisors as required
  • Assist in risk analysis across key assets
  • Ensure accurate and timely recording of equipment breakdown / reliability events


Working hours will be Monday - Thursday 8am to 5pm and early Friday finish at 2.30pm. In return you will receive a competitive salary, company benefits and long term career progression opportunities within a world class manufacturing facility.

Criteria

  • Degree educated in a relevant Engineering discipline
  • 3+ years' experience in a similar role
  • Previous experience of improvement projects in Lean manufacturing tools
