About the role
The primary responsibilities of the Process Engineer are to introduce innovative process engineering and design improvements within key operations such as Coating and Converting to improve safety, quality, and yields, increase throughput, and enhance efficiency. Assisting in the smooth introduction of new equipment; this could include testing, trailing and capital justification.

Duties

  • Co-ordinate, support and lead process improvement projects using company recognised CI tools to enhance the overall cost effectiveness of the business.
  • Write, conduct, analyse, determine and report on new or modified equipment capabilities, qualifications (IQ/OQ/PQ), and validations.
  • Establish Manufacturing Standard Operating Conditions (SOC) with the appropriate input from the Machine Operators, Supervisors and Technical personnel.
  • Perform Root Cause Analysis and Corrective Actions for Customer Complaints as assigned.
  • Lead Risk Management activities for the manufacturing systems and processes
  • Identify, develop, and implement plans associated with cost reduction, waste reduction, increased throughput and general operational improvement through the use of Six Sigma Statistical Methods.
  • Participate in the Learning & Development of machine operators on new equipment installations, equipment modifications and new procedures/systems.
  • Determine the need for, and justify capital projects such as source, specifying new equipment and upgrades to existing equipment.


Criteria

  • Relevant degree (Engineering or similar) or significant experience in manufacturing/industrial roles.
  • Experience of effective project co-ordination
  • Data analytics experience
  • Project management experience
  • SAP experience
  • Demonstrable experience in performing Lean Six Sigma methodology
