VANRATH are partnering with a global FinTech company to recruit for a Principal Software Engineer to join a high-performing technology team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on business-critical platforms used by major players in the global market.
As the Principal Software Engineer you will have the opportunity to work on modern cloud-native platforms using .NET, while shaping the engineering culture of a forward-thinking team.
What You'll Be Doing
- Provide technical mentorship to engineers and help align development efforts with project timelines and goals
- Design, develop, and support scalable software solutions
- Work closely with Business Analysts and Project Managers to refine and translate technical requirements
- Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using AWS CDK with Python
- Manage and improve CI/CD pipelines, with a strong emphasis on automated testing and code quality
- Ensure cloud-based systems are secure, high-performing, and highly available
- Actively participate in agile ceremonies and foster a collaborative agile environment
- Create and maintain clear technical documentation for architecture, design, and processes
What You'll Bring
- Proven experience in a Principal .NET Engineering role
- Strong hands-on expertise in cloud technologies, particularly within AWS
- Solid understanding of unit testing, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile practices
- Experience with Entity Framework, contract-first API design, and microservices architecture
Bonus Skills (Nice to Have)
- Exposure to Docker and Kubernetes
- Experience working with relational and NoSQL databases
- Familiarity with tools like Git, JIRA, and a strong focus on documentation
