Are you looking for a Planner role? Interested in working for a leading Main Contractor that work on a wide range of projects across multiple sectors?

VANRATH are recruiting a Planner to work on various Construction projects for a leading Main Contractor based in Magherafelt, Northern Ireland.

Remuneration:
£Competitive DOE + package

Client
Our client is a leading, innovative Main Contractor that have been operating for over 35 years. They provide solutions across both Private and Public sectors with a project portfolio across various sectors including housing, education, healthcare and more.

The business operates across the UK with their headquarters based in Northern Ireland and regional offices in England and Scotland. They deliver award winning solutions to complex construction and engineering challenges and win a lot of repeat business due to their success.

They have a great opportunity for a Planner to join the business on a permanent basis, reporting to the Planning Director. This is an excellent opportunity to join a great company and work on a wide range of exciting projects.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Support the company by developing methodologies to control and forecast work timescales and resource requirements
  • Implement best contract practice project planning, processes and procedures from tender stage through to completion
  • Develop clear succinct progress reports
  • Accurately identifying and forecasting the work timescales and resource requirements for projects including labour, plant and materials
  • Provide support for all design, management & construction planning functions ensuring that issues within the programme are anticipated, highlighted and understood by all


The Ideal Person:

  • Degree or HND Qualified
  • Experience working as a Planner for a Main Contractor
  • Possess proficient IT skills (Asta Powerprojects / MS Project preferred, but not essential)
  • Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage deadlines
  • Good time management skills
  • Ability to work on own initiative whilst maintaining a level of responsibility within the wider team
  • Excellent communication skills
