Pharmacist (Band 7)- HSCNI

I am currently accepting applications from experienced pharmacists to support our HSCNI client within hospital.

As a pharmacist, you will build relationships with a variety of health professionals and improve the lives of patients from all walks of life. You'll be working in a fast-paced environment where you can deliver genuine care.

The role
This role will be based in Belfast on a part-time or full-time basis basis.

Eligibility Criteria

  • MPharm - essential
  • Member of the Pharmaceutical Society of Northern Ireland (PSNI), or eligible for membership
  • Must have clinical/acute experience
  • Right to Work in UK/Northern Ireland

Salary:

Band 7 £43,742.00 - £50,056 per annum (+ holiday pay + pension & discount benefits)

Job responsibilities:

  • To advise on the safe and effective use of medicines and medicines optimisation, assisting in clinical decision making where limited information is available or where information is controversial or contradictory. The post holder will make recommendations in high risk areas of prescribing, including use of medicines in children, pregnancy or breast feeding.
  • To advise on all aspects of medicine use to all levels of health professionals across NI (primary and secondary care), documented and tailored to specific patients and situations taking account of co-existing medical issues and conditions where appropriate.
  • To participate in provision of a responsive, accurate and efficient evidence-based medicines information and advice service and manage individual medicines information enquiry workload in accordance with UKMi national standards.

Leadership

  • To provide highly specialist advice on patient management to medical and other clinical staff and to support evidence based decisions on the use of medicines, in partnership with patients and other health professionals within specialist areas.
  • To contribute to promotion and support of national, regional, and local Trust evidence-based cost-effective prescribing guidance.
