VANRATH are supporting our Pubic sector client in their search for a Personal Assistant to join their busy office, supporting the Lord Mayor. The team cover the organisation of Lord Mayoral and Civic ceremonies, functions and receptions across the Armagh City Banbridge and Craigavon Borough.

About you

  • Hold 5 GCSEs grade A-C or comparable, including English and Maths.
  • Two years' experience of providing high-quality PA administrative support.
  • Strong IT skills (to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, email, databases).
  • Exceptional organisation skills, to include diary management and event planning.
  • Confident in managing a heavy workload with changing and/or conflicting priorities.
  • Ability to work outside normal working hours to meet the needs of the post, if required.

What you'll do

  • Provide confidential administrative support to the Lord Mayor and Deputy Lord Mayor on a daily basis including provision of an on-call service outside of normal working hours.
  • Supervise and train casual General Assistants.
  • Diary management (electronic and paper)
  • Operate a computerised Purchase Ordering System.
  • Update and maintain website content.
  • Undertaking research and preparing speeches.
  • Developing new projects and liaising with the press.
  • Assisting in the planning, organisation and co-ordination of Lord Mayoral and Civic Receptions and attendance outside of normal working hours and travel to venues throughout the Borough.
