Summary

VANRATH are proud to be supporting a well-established organisation in Belfast with the appointment of a People & Culture Advisor. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially focused HR professional to take ownership of a broad generalist remit, with particular emphasis on end-to-end employee relations, recruitment, and policy development.

What you need

  • CIPD qualified at Level 5 or working toward.
  • Demonstrable end-to-end employee relations experience, leading on investigations, disciplinaries, grievances and appeals.
  • Strong working knowledge of UK employment legislation and HR best practice.
  • Experience delivering full-cycle recruitment and onboarding processes.
  • Proven ability to operate in a standalone or lead advisory capacity on ER matters.
  • Experience developing and reviewing HR policies and procedures.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the confidence to challenge and influence at all levels.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Proficient in HR systems and Microsoft Office applications.

What you will do each day

  • Provide expert guidance to managers and employees on HR policies, procedures and employment legislation, ensuring consistency and compliance.
  • Lead and manage employee relations cases from initial investigation through to formal outcome and appeal, maintaining accurate documentation throughout.
  • Oversee the end-to-end recruitment process, including advertising, shortlisting, interviewing, offers, contracts and onboarding.
  • Review, develop and implement HR policies and procedures in line with current legislation and organisational needs.
  • Support performance management processes, absence management and organisational change initiatives.
  • Maintain and update HR systems and employee records, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality.
  • Produce HR reports and management information to support business decision-making.
  • Contribute to HR projects and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the People & Culture function.
