Client:

Vanrath are very excited to be partnering with a Global Law firm, based here in Belfast and to be assisting in their hunt for an experienced Pension & Benefits Specialist to join their growing team. So, when it comes to the support underpinning their work, they need (and expect) the best.

The Ideal Person:

The ideal candidate will be joining the Reward and Benefits team, who are responsible for providing expert advice on salary and benefits for all staff. Primarily, the team supports staff based in the UK, but the team is increasingly providing support and advice on a Global basis. You will have:

  • Considerable experience in a Pensions and Benefits role
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills, specifically Excel.
  • Excellent analytical skills and the ability to interpret data
  • Experience working with multiple information systems/databases
  • Attention to detail and highly accurate
  • Strong numerical skills
  • Interested in developing skills further within the Pension and Benefits space, both UK and Global
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to prioritise and manage workload
  • Ability to work independently
  • High level of organisational skills
  • Proven teamwork skills
  • Flexible, positive, proactive attitude and ability to work to tight deadlines
  • Interested in keeping up to date with the changes to pensions and benefits legislation and the marketplace

Responsibilities:

Pension -

  • Provides subject matter expert advice to the HR Advice team regarding the London and Belfast Pension plans.
  • Manages and resolves pension queries from staff that cannot be resolved by the HR Advice team.
  • Manages annual election windows for Pensions & Benefits and auto-enrolment.
  • Coordinates the pension audit from a company perspective and provides information where required.
  • Assists the Senior Benefits and Pension Manager with the Trustee Board including analysis of data, provision of information and preparation for the Pension Trustee meetings.
  • Sets up and manages the payment schedule for ExPats in the UK Pension Scheme and ensures that payments are made to UK Pension scheme and recharged appropriately.
  • Supports the delivery of the company Pension Plan triennial valuation
  • Ad hoc pension projects as required.

Benefits -

  • Provides subject matter expert advice to the HR Advice team regarding the London and Belfast Benefits programs.
  • Manages the delivery of a number of benefits offerings such as Holiday Trading, Cycle to Work and Payroll Giving.
  • Analyses the Health & Wellbeing Centre Data and provides solutions to issues
  • Co-ordinate membership audit by Global Mobility: premium, table of benefits, guides to offices, update pages
  • Complete monthly journals and audit for UK and International Benefits (including PMI
  • Verify and audit monthly pension and benefits invoices and recharges, monitor spend against budget.
  • Ad hoc benefits projects as required
