Payroll Officer with Accounts - 12 Month FTC (Potential to Extend)

An excellent opportunity has arisen to join a leading organisation in Belfast City Centre as a Payroll Officer with Accounts. This is an initial 12-month fixed-term contract with the strong possibility of extension or becoming permanent. You'll be part of a collaborative finance team, gaining exposure to payroll, accounts, and reporting across the UK, ROI, and international operations. What You'll Do

  • Process monthly payroll for UK and ROI teams, ensuring compliance with HMRC and Revenue submissions
  • Support bank reconciliations, margin analysis, and internal financial reporting
  • Manage the sales ledger including payment allocation, account reconciliation, and credit control assistance
  • Handle purchase ledger duties: invoice processing, supplier reconciliations, and payment runs
  • Maintain the fixed asset register and carry out monthly reconciliations
  • Assist with audit preparation, reporting packs, and provide general finance team support

About You

  • 3+ years' experience in a finance role
  • Proven end-to-end payroll experience
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, able to manage competing priorities
  • Excellent communicator and team player
  • Confident using Excel, with experience of Sage (UK/ROI) or similar payroll/accounting systems
  • Working towards IATI or CIPP is desirable
