Payroll Associate - Hybrid role

VANRATH are proud to represent this rapidly expanding Mid Six accountancy practice looking for a Senior Payroll Associate in their Payroll Bureau team. The firm provides expert payroll services and pro-active advice to a diverse range of businesses. Led by Head of Payroll, the payroll team has earned a reputation for excellence and offers a fully integrated approach to payroll management.
As a Senior Payroll Associate, you will play a crucial role in preparing and processing weekly and monthly payroll for our clients. You will work closely with our team across multiple locations to ensure the smooth and accurate delivery of payroll services.


What you will do:

  • Prepare and process weekly and monthly payroll for a wide range of clients.
  • Ensure compliance with current legislation and regulations in payroll processing.
  • Provide expert advice and support on payroll matters to clients.
  • Utilise our Bacs-approved Payroll Bureau system for efficient payroll management.
  • Offer additional payroll services including payroll projections, pension administration, and consultancy.


What you will have:

  • 2 years' experience in payroll processing within a computerised payroll environment.
  • Good working knowledge of payroll legislation and practical payroll matters.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in all aspects of payroll processing.
  • Strong problem-solving and planning skills.
  • Clear and concise communication, both written and verbal.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft packages such as Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Previous experience in an accountancy practice/payroll bureau is desirable.
  • CIPP payroll qualification, or equivalent, is also desirable.
