VANRATH are delighted to be partnering with a well-established, forward-thinking accountancy practice with offices across County Fermanagh and Tyrone to recruit a Part-Time Payroll Specialist. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced payroll professional seeking flexibility, autonomy, and exposure to a varied client base across both the UK and Republic of Ireland.

The Role


This is a part-time position (2-3 days per week) offering flexibility around working hours to suit the successful candidate. You will take ownership of end-to-end payroll processing for a diverse portfolio of clients, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery across both UK and ROI payrolls.

What You Will Do


Manage end-to-end payroll processing for a portfolio of UK and ROI clients
Administer payrolls on a weekly, fortnightly, and monthly basis
Ensure compliance with UK and Irish payroll legislation, including RCT and CIS schemes
Process starters, leavers, and statutory payments (SSP, SMP, etc.)
Handle payroll queries from clients in a professional and timely manner
Submit RTI filings and relevant Irish Revenue submissions
Maintain accurate payroll records and ensure data integrity
Liaise with HMRC and Irish Revenue where required
Support continuous improvement of payroll processes and systems

Requirements


Proven experience in payroll processing across UK and/or ROI
Strong understanding of UK payroll legislation, with exposure to Irish payroll highly desirable
Experience with RCT and CIS schemes is essential
High level of accuracy and attention to detail
Strong communication skills and client-focused approach
Ability to manage workload independently and meet deadlines
Experience with payroll software and cloud-based systems
