About you

  • Minimum of 10 years' experience in utilities, electrical distribution, or a similar utility sector
  • Proven leadership in managing teams including contractors and subcontractors
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with excellent communication abilities
  • Good commercial acumen with experience managing budgets and costs
  • Demonstrable civils project experience, both field and back office
  • Ability to lead, motivate, and develop field teams
  • Proficiency in technical reporting, proposals, and contract management
  • Excellent literacy, numeric, and IT skills, including Microsoft Office proficiency
  • Full, clean driving licence and a flexible approach aligned with project demands
  • A proactive, solutions-oriented mindset with innovative and creative problem-solving skills
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with key partners and stakeholders

What you'll do

  • Oversee seamless delivery of civil and cabling projects within specified geographical areas, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency
  • Drive a "Safety First" and "Right First Time" culture across all field operations, backed by strategic planning and supplier engagement
  • Manage day-to-day operations, including staff management, work scheduling, and performance reviews
  • Monitor project budgets, control costs, and identify risks early to ensure financial targets are met
  • Develop and maintain excellent relationships with suppliers, partners, and key stakeholders
  • Investigate incidents, near misses, and quality issues, implementing corrective actions swiftly
  • Provide regular, accurate reporting to senior management on project status, risks, and operational performance
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards at all times
