VANRATH are delighted to be working with a top Sports company in helping recruit for an Operational Finance Manager to work closely with the Group Reporting Finance Manager to help drive the team forward



RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage account payable and receivable functions and develop financial goals and objectives for the team.
  • Identifying areas for increased efficiency, proactively challenging current financial operational processes.
  • Providing commercial challenge to all cost requests in excess of approved limits
  • Responsibility for weekly cashflow and working capital reporting.
  • Contributes to the quality of the reporting information by ensuring oversight of complete and accurate processing of transactional data.
  • Co-ordinate the successful implementation and monitoring compliance to cost control and purchasing policy
  • Responsible for co-ordinating and implementing AP automation strategies.
  • Develop real-time reports and KPI dashboards to feedback and insight to leadership team and other departments regarding operational performance in order to initiate actions.
  • Representative for finance on the Information Security Management Systems committee and responsible for the maintenance of risk registers.
  • Oversight and compliance with local and international rules and laws concerning tax - including setting up compliance reporting calendar for sales and VAT tax returns
  • Performance management of operational finance team including annual appraisals, development plans and coaching.
  • Work with Group Reporting Finance Manager for smooth monthly closing process and accruals review.


REQUIREMENTS;

  • 2 + years PQE with ACA, ACCA, CIMA or 5+ years Qualified by experience in similar role
  • At least 3 years experience supervising and mentoring staff members.
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Experience in Microsoft Navision / BI Tools / Change Management are all desirable
