Vanrath is partnering with a respected supplier to the construction, surveying, and infrastructure industries to recruit an Office Administrator. This is a full-time, permanent position with excellent scope for responsibility and development within a supportive team.

About the Role
We are looking for a reliable and organised administrator to be the backbone of our office operations. You will provide key support to both commercial and operational teams, ensuring smooth day-to-day running of the office.
This role suits someone who thrives in a busy environment, can manage competing priorities, and enjoys keeping processes on track while maintaining a high standard of accuracy.
Working Hours
Monday - Thursday: 08:30 - 17:00
Friday: 08:30 - 15:00 (early finish)
No weekend work
Key Responsibilities
Provide day-to-day administrative support to operational and commercial teams
Act as a point of contact for customers and suppliers, ensuring professional communication
Assist management with scheduling, planning, and follow-up tasks
Maintain accurate records in internal systems, spreadsheets, and files
Support operational processes, including documentation and basic cost tracking
Coordinate deliveries, collections, and other logistics with clear communication
Help organise diaries, meetings, and office activity
Monitor and chase outstanding tasks to ensure completion
Identify opportunities to improve office processes and efficiency
Work independently while managing multiple priorities effectively
Contribute to a positive and collaborative team culture
Candidate Requirements
Essential:
Proven experience in an administrative or office support role
Strong verbal and written communication skills, professional telephone manner
Highly organised with attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines confidently
Proactive, self-motivated, and solution-oriented
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
Willingness to learn new systems and processes
Desirable:
Previous experience supporting operations, sales, or service teams
Exposure to logistics, scheduling, or coordination work
Background in construction, technical, or trade-related sectors
Familiarity with CRM, ERP, or other internal systems
Experience supporting senior management
