Service Support Business Manager

Job Summary:

Provide exemplary, customer-focused administrative support to internal and external customers. Contribute to the Service Support Directorate's vision of protecting the community and mission of ensuring safety and well-being through partnership.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver customer-focused administrative services, including guidance on financial, systems, and procurement matters.
  • Produce information reports, statistics, and assist in business plan development.
  • Monitor and review administrative systems, recommending improvements.
  • Maintain physical and electronic records, handle correspondence, and draft responses.
  • Support meetings, prepare materials, and ensure accurate maintenance of electronic systems.
  • Manage stationery and office supplies, and support tender and quotation preparations.
  • Maintain effective relationships with stakeholders, and uphold NIFRS's reputation and policies.

Essential Criteria:

  • 5 GCSEs at Grade C or above (including English and Maths) and 2 years' office experience, or 4 years' office experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications, especially databases and MS Word.
  • Effective planning, organization, communication skills, and a customer service orientation.

Desirable Criteria:

  • Experience in minute-taking and working within local government or the public sector.
