A prestigious Northern Ireland law firm is seeking a dedicated Newly Qualified (NQ) Employment Law Solicitor to become a vital part of its expanding Employment Law Department. As a key team member, you will work closely with senior lawyers to advise on a broad spectrum of employment law issues, gaining valuable experience in complex tribunal and High Court proceedings. This position provides a balanced mix of advisory work and contentious employment law, fostering your professional growth and expertise.
Key Responsibilities
- Represent and advise clients in employment tribunal proceedings, supporting case strategy and preparation.
- Draft, review, and update employment contracts, policies, employee handbooks, and service agreements to ensure legal compliance and best practice.
- Assist in providing guidance on employment law compliance, HR policies, and risk management strategies.
- Support senior colleagues on matters related to trade union recognition, industrial relations, and employee relations.
- Gain exposure to employment law aspects of corporate transactions, including mergers and acquisitions.
- Contribute to client training sessions on employment law topics, helping clients understand their legal obligations and best practices.
Candidate Profile
- Newly qualified solicitor (or equivalent) with a strong interest in employment law.
- Excellent academic credentials with a demonstrated commitment to continuous professional development.
- Strong analytical and drafting skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
- Confident communicator capable of building effective relationships with clients and colleagues.
