This role offers an excellent platform to develop advocacy skills, gain tribunal experience, and build a varied caseload under supportive supervision.

The Role

Key responsibilities include:

  • Advising and assisting clients on unfair dismissal, discrimination, equal pay, redundancy, harassment, TUPE, contractual disputes, and Working Time Regulations.
  • Drafting claim forms, correspondence, witness statements, settlement agreements, and tribunal documentation.
  • Supporting Employment Tribunal preparation and hearings, including research, document management, and liaising with clients and counsel.
  • Developing strong client relationships through clear communication, empathy, and professionalism.
  • Contributing to the growth and success of the employment law practice through proactive case management and teamwork.

Person Specification

  • Solicitor qualified in Northern Ireland (or equivalent) with NQ to 2 years PQE, ideally with some exposure to employment law.
  • Strong drafting, research, analytical, and organisational skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to client care.
  • Motivated, proactive, and eager to learn, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Interest in employee-side employment law and tribunal advocacy.

What's on Offer

  • Exposure to a wide variety of employment law matters and early advocacy opportunities.
  • Supportive team environment with structured guidance and mentoring.
  • Real responsibility in managing cases and developing client relationships.
  • A clear pathway for career progression and professional development.

This role is ideal for a solicitor looking to consolidate early-career experience in employment law and take the next step in a challenging and rewarding practice.
