New Product Development Manager
Vanrath are recruiting for an NPD Manager to join our award winning FMCG manufacturing client based in Armagh.

As the NPD Manager you will play a key role in advancing product innovation and brand building initiatives to support continued business growth.
Key duties

  • Develop market/consumer targeting plans for the successful introduction of new products
  • Liaise with Commercial, Technical, Production Managers in the ideation and evaluation phases of new product ideas.
  • Identifies product innovation opportunities to increase sales volumes.
  • Carry out all concept development work including ingredient sourcing, recipe control, and process planning
  • Ensure all NPD and EPD is accurately costed and signed off with any potential issues highlighted with relevant management.
  • Laboratory analysis for nutritional value and shelf life of new products must be carried out in accordance with company or customer policy.
  • Appropriate level of involvement will be required in the sourcing, trialing and transit testing of all new packaging.
  • Ensures new product ingredients and specifications are prepared that allow for optimum pricing rates in order to deliver acceptable profit margins for each of the product lines.


We are looking for

  • Third level degree in food related science
  • 2+ years' experience in a similar NPD role
  • A proven track record of championing new products including concept evaluation, product development, and successful in-market performance
  • Strong data-analysis and process mapping skills


You will work Monday - Friday office hours (flexitime also available) but for the right candidate part time hours may be considered depending on your preference. In return you will receive a salary up to £40,000 DOE.
