VANRATH are partnered with a national construction business in Belfast who require the support of a Newly Qualified Accountant to join their team for a period of 9 months. The business have been successful in securing a number of new, lucrative contracts and are pleased to be offering the opportunity to provide commercial exposure to the incoming candidate.
Reporting to the Finance Director, the Newly Qualified Accountant will work with the wider finance team gaining exposure in Cost Accounting, Management Accounts and Project Accounting. This is an initial contract role for a period of 9 months, with the businesses aggressive growth plans there is high potential for this to become a permanent post for the successful candidate. If you are a Newly Qualified Accountant with an ambition to join a highly successful organisation who can provide unrivalled exposure, this could be the ideal role for you.

About you
- Qualified Accountant
- Strong IT skills, including Advanced Excel skills
- Excellent communication skills, with an ability to work with internal and external stakeholders
- Willingness to learn and develop new skills
- Strong character with confidence to advise non-finance staff
What you'll do
- Produce monthly management accounts
- Assist with the production of annual financial accounts
- Prepare balance sheet recs, budgets/forecasts
- Variance analysis, providing insight to management team
- Project accounting, budget monitoring
- Business partner with operational team
