Job Description

This role encompasses the comprehensive management, maintenance, and support of network infrastructure, perimeter security systems, and network management platforms. It offers the opportunity to become an expert in these domains.

Employees in this domain are self-reliant and proactive. They handle the full spectrum of tasks required to provide solutions to our customer base, demonstrating advanced troubleshooting skills. They work independently and are well-versed in operating procedures and policies.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Taking ownership and ensuring detailed engineering, documentation, and rollout for implementation projects.
  • Designing and implementing network infrastructure.
  • Collaborating with customers, design authority, and project managers to gather user and system requirements for defining design specifications.
  • Ensuring all projects meet deadlines and adhere to the highest standards.
  • Developing and maintaining documentation.
  • Creating low-level designs for network and security infrastructure (LAN / WAN / WLAN / Firewalls / Application Delivery Controllers, etc.).
  • Integrating and handing over implemented systems to operational teams.
  • Continuously improving systems based on evolving demands.
  • Presenting solutions to customers and various departments.
  • Coordinating with different departments within the organization.
  • Collaborating with third-party suppliers and partners for system support, maintenance, and implementation.
  • Ensuring the integrity and control of business data.
  • Overseeing and supporting Internet access.
  • Ensuring business data is securely backed up and stored off-site.
  • Conducting visits to datacentres and customer premises for hardware and software maintenance and installation.
  • Providing 24/7 support coverage.

Skills and experience required:

  • Broad working knowledge of Datacentre network disciplines
  • Broad technical knowledge of Network Technologies
  • Excellent knowledge of LAN / WAN / WLAN management
  • A good understanding of Firewalls
  • A good understanding of IT Networks infrastructure
  • The ability to work on own initiative and to address and resolve problems in a busy environment.
  • Able to resolve incidents in the Network environment used by the customer.
  • Good working knowledge of incident, problem and change management processes and procedures
  • Demonstrable experience in troubleshooting techniques to determine root cause.
