National Account Executive (FMCG) - REMOTE

Job Description

A dynamic FMCG distributor has been rapidly expanding and is seeking a National Account Executive. This is a fantastic opportunity for an Food/FMCG experienced individual to join a company that offers continuous progression opportunities.

Salary
€30,000 - €35,000 + 5% bonus

Location

Fully remote if in ROI (NI based office)

Reporting to the National Accounts Controller, you will become the sales and administration support between the company and specific external customers. Internally, you will play a crucial role in keeping other functions such as finance and operations abreast of account activities.

Responsibilities

External Customer work:

Management of the back of houses processes involved in the smooth running of an account such as -

  • Promotional nominations
  • Price file management
  • NLF completion
  • Promotional track and reporting
  • Supporting in range reviews and customer facing meeting.
  • Dealing with and responding to customer queries promptly
  • Man mark your equivalent role within key customers and build a proactive relationship.

Internal Customer work:

  • Ensuring agreed processes around promotions, accruals and pricing are adhered to
  • Supporting in various projects to ensure first rate execution.
  • Feedback information relating to account performance.
  • Deal with customer service queries and adhoc customer complaints.
  • Liaise with key internal stakeholders within Commercial, Operations, Finance, Purchasing, Supply Chain, Marketing and Customer Support to ensure the information flow is in place for the key KPI's to be achieved.
  • Within this there is focus of working with finance to ensure all procedures are followed

General

  • Provide general support to management by being flexible to work additional hours and assist with overflow work from colleagues as needed to ensure that the business runs smoothly.
  • Participate in all essential and required training to carry out your role efficiently and safely.
  • Participate in and attend departmental or Company meetings as required.
  • Ensure that company health, safety and environmental policies are always observed when conducting duties or when escorting visitors/customers on site.

Preferred experience but not essential

  • Systems experience- PIMS and Tesco connect.

The Ideal Candidate

  • A minimum of 2 years previous experience in a similar role or experience of supporting commercial teams
  • Strong commercial acumen to understand the detail behind commercial proposals which can be developed into joint business plans.
  • High level of IT proficiency- Word, PowerPoint & excel.
  • Experience of budgetary management.
  • Experience from a complex distribution business or solutions provider.
  • Demonstrates integrity, resilience, and energy to thrive in an extremely fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrates strategic thinking and a passion to win attitude.
  • Sales & Customer care experience in a retail/wholesale channel
