VANRATH is pleased to be working alongside a leading supplier within the food and consumer goods industry to recruit an National Accountant Executive. This opportunity offers a chance to join a well-established team based in Belfast, focused on client growth and relationship management across Northern Ireland.
This is a permanent full-time position with a blend of field sales (3 days on the road) and remote working (2 days from home). The business is known for its commitment to career development, internal promotions, and ongoing professional training.
Remuneration:
Base salary: £28,000
Performance-related bonus (~10%)

The Role:
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a designated portfolio of retail and foodservice accounts, focusing on relationship building, product visibility, and commercial expansion. You will act as the primary point of contact for your customers, ensuring category growth, maintaining high service standards, and contributing to market share growth.
Key Duties:
Grow existing customer base while identifying and securing new business opportunities
Promote a wide portfolio of food products and introduce new lines into client accounts
Deliver tailored account plans in line with customer goals and company objectives
Analyse market trends and translate insights into actionable business strategies
Represent the business at industry trade events, customer meetings, and tastings
Monitor product performance in-store and provide regular feedback to internal teams
Coordinate with marketing, supply chain, and customer support to deliver service excellence
Maintain accurate sales records, CRM updates, and pipeline forecasting
Manage credit control within account base in accordance with payment terms
The Ideal Candidate:
Proven experience in a field sales, account management, or territory development role
Background in FMCG or food distribution is preferred
Confident communicator with excellent negotiation and influencing skills
Strong organisational ability, with experience managing a busy client portfolio
Commercially driven with an eye for opportunity and detail
Competent using CRM tools and MS Office Suite
Full, clean UK driving licence
