IT Business Analyst role-FMCG

Job Description


We're thrilled to be collaborating with one of Ireland's leading FMCG (Fast Moving Consumer Goods) companies, who is looking for a Business Analyst to join their IT development team. Experience in a shared services or product-based organisation is advantageous. Remote work is required, with office visits on occasion.

The selected applicant will work as an IT Business Analyst in the FMCG industry, delivering strategic projects centred on business processes, application design, and functionality.

The duties of the role involve:

  • Basic SQL code
  • Analysing and developing systems
  • Determining and supporting business requirements, functional specifications, and implementation strategies
  • Define stakeholder ownership and engagement before, during, and after project execution
  • Create and document testing and user acceptability techniques
  • Illustrate 'AS-IS' and 'To Be'
  • Describe how data elements interact with one another within the application.


The roles Essential criteria:

  • 2:1 or above in an IT related field
  • 2+ year's experience working as a Business Analyst or similar role
  • Manufacturing/food industry experience developing major software solutions.
  • Outstanding written and oral communication skills
  • Problem-solving abilities, as well as analytic and critical thinking abilities.
  • Basic SQL scripting knowledge
  • Certification in PRINCE2 or another management framework
  • Working knowledge of SAP is a bonus
