Microsoft Security Architect

Job Description

The Senior Security Architect specialising in Microsoft technologies will contribute technical expertise to ensure the secure design, implementation, and advancement of our organisation's M365 environment. This professional will play a crucial role in formulating and implementing policies to safeguard the security and availability of M365 applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the design, architecture, and implementation of a secure M365 environment.

  • Lead efforts to adopt and utilize Microsoft cloud security technologies within the organisation.

  • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the Microsoft security suite, focusing on Defender for Cloud, Defender for Identity, and Defender for Office 365.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.

  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP), and Microsoft certifications (MS-500, AZ500, SC-900, SC-400) are preferred.

  • Proven track record of guiding the secure adoption of Microsoft security services for M365.

  • Extensive hands-on experience with the Microsoft Defender Suite, including Defender for Cloud, Defender for Office, Defender for Identity, and Defender for Cloud Apps.

  • Strong background in integrating identity and access management controls in M365.

  • Architect and implement event management and secure logging for M365 services.
