Mechanical Supervisor / Junior Site Manager (M&E)

CLIENT
A well-established M&E contractor with a proven history of successful project delivery is seeking to recruit a Mechanical Supervisor / Junior Site Manager due to continued growth and expansion of the business. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Mechanical Supervisor looking to progress into a Site Manager role within a supportive and professional environment. The company operates across commercial, industrial, healthcare, education, leisure and residential sectors throughout Northern Ireland, the Republic of Ireland and the wider UK. This is a permanent, site-based position primarily located in Northern Ireland, with occasional travel to sites in ROI and Great Britain depending on project requirements.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
* Plumbing and heating trade background
* Experience supervising mechanical installations on live construction sites
* Full, clean driving licence
* Good working knowledge of health and safety legislation and best practice
* IT literate, with proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
* Organised and practical approach with strong attention to detail
* Ability to coordinate multiple tasks and maintain progress on busy sites
* Self-motivated with a proactive, hands-on attitude
* Strong communication skills with the ability to work well with site teams, subcontractors and clients
* Keen to develop and progress within a growing M&E contractor

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
In the role of Mechanical Supervisor / Junior Site Manager, duties will include:
* Managing day-to-day mechanical activities on site to ensure works are completed safely and on programme
* Supporting project delivery in line with agreed timescales and budgets
* Sourcing and purchasing routine site materials
* Coordinating labour and liaising with other trades to maintain site progress
* Overseeing mechanical installations to ensure high standards of workmanship
* Ensuring all works are compliant with current regulations and site requirements
* Attending site meetings with clients, principal contractors and subcontractors
* Arranging and coordinating hired plant and equipment
* Producing short-term lookahead programmes and supporting the overall project schedule
* Providing regular progress updates to the Contracts Manager
* Carrying out site inspections focused on health, safety and quality
