About the Role:
Our client is seeking a Mechanical Engineer with hands-on experience to join their team in Dungannon. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in manufacturing plants and be comfortable performing minor repairs on mechanical equipment. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with time-served experience looking to further their career within a dynamic environment.
What's in it for you:
- Salary of £33,000 - £39,000
- Week 1/Day Shift: Monday to Thursday 6.00am to 6.00pm
- Week 2/Night Shift: Monday to Wednesday 6.00pm to 6.00am.

Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the plant's readiness and operational efficiency to meet the production schedule.
- Continuously monitor and maintain control over key process input variables, ensuring they stay within the specified limits.
- Ensure accurate metering of raw material ingredients to maintain consistent product formulation and quality.
- Immediately respond to alarms, addressing any deviations from set points.
- Document all alarms and corrective actions taken, keeping thorough records.
- Escalate critical alarms that are unresponsive to corrective actions to the General Manager and technical support team, involving the PM and Maintenance teams as necessary.
- Conduct ongoing reviews of process inputs to maintain equipment performance and product quality.
- Track and report weekly costs and losses related to additives during daily and weekly S.M.T. meetings.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in a manufacturing plant environment.
- Comfortable with hands-on repairs and mechanical troubleshooting.
- Time-served experience is highly valued; however, a third-level qualification in Mechanical Engineering or a related field would be an advantage.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Good understanding of health and safety regulations within a manufacturing environment.
