Mechanical Design Engineer


Client
A highly skilled process engineering company, with specialist skills in water treatment, energy, environmental and facilities engineering solutions.

Their services range from design through to construction, installation, commissioning, maintenance and overall project management. Their experience is wide ranging, from major water utility installations and innovative 'first of its kind' district heating projects through to work with breweries on process improvements and biomass heating installations on farms.

Due to expansion they are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join the team.


This role will be based in their Cookstown offices.


Remuneration:
£27,500 - £35,000+ Benefits DOE


The Ideal Person

  • Minimum 2.1 Honours Degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, or related product design or engineering subject.
  • Minimum of 1 year post grad relevant experience in a similar role.
  • Ability to be flexible and adaptable as the role will involve travel, the majority of which will be in the UK & Ireland.
  • Proficient in 3D CAD software, including the ability to generate complex 3D CAD assemblies and drawings. Solidworks is preferred.
  • A full drivers license and access to a car.
  • Excellent organisational, interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proficient in MS application: Word, Excel, Outlook, Project.



Responsibilities

  • Create design data including including 2D Drawings, Calculations BOM, Equipment Schedules, P & I Diagrams, Control Philosophies and component specifications.
  • Use Solidworks & AutoCAD to create designs & fabrication drawings.
  • Build and maintain strong and professional relationships with clients ensuring effective communication throughout project delivery.
  • Track and monitor internal and external information exchanges as per ISO 90001.
  • Work effectively as part of the Engineering Department to deliver high quality products inline with our customers' expectations.
  • Develop risk assessments and method statements for each project.
  • Liaise with construction team to ensure plant is delivered and installed correctly.
  • Commissioning of equipment.
