VANRATH are recruiting a Mechanical Contracts Manager to work for a leading M&E Contractor, based in Ballymena, Northern Ireland.

Remuneration:
£50,000 - £60,000 DOE + van / fuel card / package

Client:
Well established M&E Contractor that have been operating for many years. The business offer a full design and build service and pride themselves on delivering projects to the highest standards, within budget and on programme. They provide a range of Electrical, Mechanical and Maintenance service across multiple commercial sectors.

Overview of Role:
The business has a great opportunity for a Mechanical Contracts Manager to join them on a permanent basis, based in their Ballymena office with site visits across Northern Ireland. The role will be split between the office and site. The Mechanical Contracts Manager will be responsible for overseeing multiple projects at any given time.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage mechanical contracts from inception through to completion
  • Act as the key point of contact for clients, consultants and design teams
  • Build strong working relationships with site teams and key stakeholders
  • Ensure works are delivered on time and within budget
  • Take responsibility for health & safety compliance, reporting and site standards
  • Lead site inductions, daily briefs and toolbox talks
  • Prepare and issue technical submissions, RAMS and method statements
  • Monitor programme and performance, chair / attend progress meetings and report to stakeholders
  • Oversee commissioning and testing, ensuring full records for O&M manuals


Qualifications Required:

  • Degree qualified or other relevant qualifications
  • Extensive experience working as a Mechanical Contracts Manager
  • Relevant qualifications
  • CSR Card
  • Full clean driving licence
  • Able to manage multiple projects concurrently
  • Excellent management skills
  • Good IT Skills to enable flow of information between those involved in the project, particularly Microsoft Outlook
