Mechanical Assembly Manager
Salary: £45,000 - £55,000
Hours: Monday - Thursday, 8:00am - 5:00pm | Friday, 8:00am - 3:00pm
Location: Belfast
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join one of the UK and Ireland's leading Building Services specialists as a Mechanical Assembly Manager.
Our client designs, develops, and delivers innovative offsite-prefabricated, sustainable building service solutions for major projects across the UK and Europe.

The Role
As Mechanical Assembly Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day running of mechanical assembly operations within the company's modern facility. You'll play a pivotal role in managing production schedules, supervising teams, and ensuring quality, efficiency, and safety across all activities.
This role would particularly suit someone with a background or working knowledge of plumbing or mechanical building services, looking to take the next step into leadership and operational management.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage mechanical assembly teams and supervisors, ensuring smooth workflow and adherence to production schedules.
- Liaise with Project Managers and production teams to coordinate resources and ensure projects are ready for build.
- Review and approve mechanical assembly drawings for accuracy and compliance.
- Oversee the development and implementation of assembly procedures and operational improvements.
- Manage subcontractors, materials, and machinery maintenance.
- Support weekly progress reporting and monitor project KPIs.
- Identify and develop team skills, fostering growth and high performance within the assembly department.
- Ensure all work meets company quality, safety, and environmental standards.
About You
Essential:
- Proven experience as a Mechanical Supervisor or similar leadership role.
- Relevant MEP trade qualification (mechanical or plumbing background highly beneficial).
- Strong organisational and planning skills.
- Computer literate with experience using Microsoft Office & Excel.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Self-motivated, structured, and capable of managing multiple priorities.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
Desirable:
- Experience leading continuous improvement or lean initiatives.
