Manufacturing/Process Engineer

Location: Antrim
Salary: £40,000 - £45,000
Contract: Permanent
Hours: Monday to Friday | Early finish on Fridays


A well-established and highly automated manufacturing business based in Antrim is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to join its engineering team. This role plays a key part in driving process efficiency, product quality, and continuous improvement within a machine-based production environment.

This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer who enjoys problem-solving, optimising manufacturing processes, and working cross-functionally to support both new product introduction and ongoing operational performance.

The Role:

  • Design, develop, and optimise manufacturing processes to improve efficiency and quality
  • Support the development and implementation of new production lines and equipment
  • Prepare and maintain process documentation, specifications, and standards
  • Analyse production methods, materials, and equipment to identify cost-effective solutions
  • Drive process improvements to reduce downtime, defects, and waste
  • Work closely with product design teams to ensure manufacturability of new designs
  • Troubleshoot and resolve manufacturing issues related to processes, materials, and equipment
  • Support maintenance and modification of existing machinery to improve reliability
  • Deliver training to operators and production staff where required
  • Support Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Analyse production data and KPIs to support performance reporting
  • Carry out cost analysis and value engineering activities

What We're Looking For:

  • Qualification in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering (or similar)
  • Proven experience in a manufacturing or production engineering role
  • Strong knowledge of machine-based manufacturing environments
  • Experience with machining, assembly, or welding processes
  • Proficient in CAD software (e.g. SolidWorks, AutoCAD)
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement tools
  • Strong problem-solving and root cause analysis skills
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management ability
  • High attention to detail with a quality-focused mindset
