Job description

VANRATH are delighted to be working with a leading professional services firm, currently seeking a driven tax professional to join their Dublin-based team on a 12-month contract within a busy and supportive environment. This role sits within the Corporation Tax Compliance team and offers genuine exposure to high-profile clients, global collaboration, and a flexible hybrid working model (typically three to four days in the office).

The Role

This position is suited to an experienced tax professional with strong compliance experience, ideally from a professional practice background. You'll take ownership of a varied portfolio of corporation tax clients across a range of sectors, supporting both Irish-owned and multinational groups. Working closely with audit and advisory colleagues, you'll be responsible for the planning, review, and delivery of high-quality compliance services, while managing and mentoring a team of associates.

What You Will Do

  • Manage a diverse portfolio of corporate tax compliance clients.
  • Lead planning of compliance timetables and liaise with audit teams and clients to ensure timely delivery.
  • Oversee preparation and review of corporation tax computations and returns, including deferred tax and provisioning where required.
  • Act as the main client contact on compliance matters, building long-term trusted relationships.
  • Support and develop junior team members through on-the-job coaching and review.
  • Engage with the Revenue Commissioners on behalf of clients.

What's in It for You

  • Exposure to an exceptional client base across leasing, insurance, asset management, and global industries.
  • Opportunity to work within a highly regarded tax team of 40 specialists, part of a wider 150-strong tax department.
  • A flexible hybrid model with three to four days in the Dublin office.
  • Comprehensive benefits package including discounted health insurance, additional annual leave purchase, enhanced family leave, emergency childcare cover, early-finish Fridays, and relocation assistance.
  • Award-winning learning and development opportunities, with ongoing support from a performance manager and access to extensive in-house training and LinkedIn Learning.
  • Genuine prospects for progression in a firm that promotes four times per year.
  • Inclusive, diverse, and collaborative culture that values individuality and innovation.

Requirements

  • ACA / ACCA qualified and/or member of the Irish Taxation Institute.
  • Minimum 3.5 years' experience in a professional tax environment.
  • Proven experience in corporation tax compliance; exposure to tax provisioning advantageous.
  • Strong client communication skills and experience managing others.
  • Ability to deliver high-quality work within tight deadlines in a fast-paced professional environment.
