Management Accountant, 9-12 months, Lisburn


My client:

VANRATH are pleased to be recruiting for a Management Accountant for a market-leading organisation based in the Lisburn area. The role is to play a key role in the team reporting into the Head of Finance, on a c.9-12 month basis, but could lead to extension thereafter. The Role:

The purpose of the role is to play a prominent role in the finance department with responsibility for the preparation of management information on a daily, weekly, monthly and annual basis including, in particular, monthly management accounts and other associated financial information:

  • Monthly management accounts for all group companies and assisting the Head of Finance is preparation of the Group Consolidated position. This is to include P&L, Balance Sheet and cash flow as required
  • Analysis of sales and manufacturing variances
  • Overhead review with departments as part of budgetary control process
  • Involvement in business improvement activities within finance and other departments
  • Stock reporting including stock variance analysis
  • Review product costing to ensure accurate reporting of cost of sales and variances
  • Capital Expenditure reporting and ownership of Fixed Asset Register. Maintenance of expenditure approval system and reconciliation to the general ledger.
  • Weekly sales update and company KPI information
  • Weekly wages reporting
  • Weekly cash flow forecasting
  • Mapping of general ledger to new accounting system


In addition to the above individual responsibilities to assist the Head of Finance with the following.

  • Preparation of monthly consolidated management accounts pack
  • Preparation of the monthly board pack
  • Preparation of monthly forecast
  • Preparation of annual budget
  • Preparation of annual financial statements including audit and compilation of all required tax information
  • Improving systems and information provided to management
  • Any other duties as required from time to time


The Ideal Candidate:

  • Professionally qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
  • Experience of operating within a medium to large organisation
  • Experience of producing management accounts including full profit and loss, cash flow and balance sheet reviews
  • Experience of Microsoft products, particularly Excel spread sheets



Remuneration:

c.£45k
