Management Accountant (FMCG/Belfast)
VANRATH are delighted to be working in partnership with an innovative market leader based in Belfast to recruit a commercially astute Management Accountant to join the growing finance team. Reporting to the Financial Controller, the Management Accountant will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and timely financial information flows throughout the business.

About you
- Newly/Recently qualified accountant (ACA, CIMA, ACCA or equivalent)
- Management accounting experience (preferred).
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate across all levels
- Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise effectively and work under pressure
- Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook etc)
- High attention to detail
- Right to work in the UK (Sponsorship is not available)
What you'll do
- Timely and accurate production of monthly and weekly management accounts, together with variance analysis, margin analysis and commentary.
- Input into annual budgeting processes.
- Year-end statutory accounts preparation and associated audit queries
- Reconciliation of relevant balance sheet accounts including monthly review with Group Financial Director
- Partnering with site management to identify opportunities to add value, working collaboratively to deliver these.
- Improvement projects, including focus on transformation opportunities, to develop best in class financial reporting and deliver business unit improvement initiatives
- Maintain and drive improvement in systems, processes and controls
- Ensure the highest standards of quality assurance and integrity are applied in procedures and documentation in use
- Carry out other duties or cover as reasonably required
