VANRATH are delighted to be recruiting a Management Accountant to join a large public sector employer based in Belfast city centre. This is a fantastic foot in the door opportunity to join on an initial 6 month contract , with the potential to securing a permanent contract.

Reporting to the Assistant Director of Finance, the Management Accountant will be responsible for producing client accounts and discussing/explaining variances with the wider finance team. To be considered for this role, it is essential to have previous experience in a management accountant role, ideally with experience in a client facing role. This is an urgent requirement for the organisation and it can offer the opportunity for an immediate start.

About you

• Part-Qualified or Fully Qualified Accountant
• Strong MS Excel skills
• Management Accounts experience
• Willingness to learn and develop
• Excellent communication and presentation skills

What you'll do

• Prepare detailed business plans and monthly management accounts
• Preparation of variance analysis to assist with decision making processes
• Month end journal reconciliations
• Assist with the year end accounts prep
• Balance sheet and control account reconciliations
