VANRATH are pleased to be partnered exclusively with a leading Public Sector employer in Belfast city centre who are currently recruiting a Management Accountant to join their team on an initial interim contract. This position is scheduled until October 2024, with the potential for extension depending on performance.

The Management Accountant will report to the Director of Finance, providing business support services to senior managers and budget managers. This will include the production of regular financial analysis reports, to assist with effective budgetary control. To be considered for this role, the Management Accountant is required to be Part-Qualified, with proven experience of working with MS Excel, to an intermediate level.

About you

  • Part-Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
  • Management accounts knowledge
  • MS Excel skills
  • Strong communication skills to be able to interact with budget managers
  • Available at short notice

What you'll do

  • Monthly management accounts production, including all month end journals and reconciliations
  • Support the Senior Management Accountant in maintaining effective financial control
  • Assist with the annual budget setting process for the Business Unit with the annual budget
  • Balance sheet reconciliations
  • Budgetary control for budget holders and non-finance managers
  • Production of regular and meaningful income & expenditure reports
