VANRATH are delighted to be working with a specialist distribution company who are working within a fast-paced industry. They are recruiting a Management Accountant to join their team to facilitate an increase in business, and the successful candidate will join a supportive working environment.

Reporting to the Finance Director, the Management Accountant will be responsible for the accurate and timely production of the monthly management accounts. To be considered for this role it is essential to have strong IT skills, particularly MS Excel due to the reporting processes within the business. Due to the urgency of this role, candidates available on a shortened notice period would be preferred, however all applicants will be assessed based on their suitability to the role.

About you

If you are a Qualified Accountant:

• Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA) or Qualified by Experience
• Experience of management accounts
• Advanced Excel skills
• Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy and productivity
• Strong organisational skills and an ability to work in a deadline driven environment

What you'll do

• Complete monthly management accounts, including nominals, journals, prepayments & accruals
• Balance sheet reconciliation and analysis
• Overseeing the purchase & sales ledgers
• Cash flow forecasting
• Budget preparation and monitoring
• Project accounting
