Maintenance Engineer - FMCG (Night Shifts)

📍 Location: Newry
🕒 Working Pattern: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday
💷 Salary: £37,000 - £40,000 (DOE)
💼 Type: Full-time, Permanent

A well-established manufacturer in the Newry area is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to join their engineering team. This is a great opportunity to join a dynamic and growing company where you'll play a key role in maintaining critical production equipment in a fast-paced FMCG environment.

The Role:

  • Provide both reactive and planned maintenance support to production operations
  • Minimise downtime and maximise operational efficiency across all equipment and lines
  • Conduct fault-finding, repairs, and improvements across electrical and mechanical systems
  • Work collaboratively with the Engineering Manager and wider team to maintain safety, compliance, and productivity
  • Manage engineering consumables and spares inventory effectively
  • Support continuous improvement and automation initiatives to drive performance and cost-efficiency

What We're Looking For:

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in an FMCG or chilled production environment
  • HNC qualified (or above) in a relevant engineering discipline (electrical or mechanical)
  • Time-served apprenticeship with solid hands-on experience
  • Familiarity with preventative maintenance software systems
  • Ability to work proactively, safely, and efficiently in a fast-paced setting
  • Experience working with contractors and meeting compliance standards
