VANRATH have partnered with a large European Media Company with publishing and production facilities in Holland, Belgium, Germany, Ireland, and United Kingdom. VANRATH'S clients produce many flagships self-owned newspaper titles such as The Belfast Telegraph, The Irish Independent, The Sunday Independent, The Sunday Life as well as contract printing for third party publications such as The Daily and Sunday Telegraph.
The site in Newry is the last and most modern printing technology investment made on the island of Ireland and has been operational printing Newspapers and Glossy Newspapers since 2007

The Ideal Person

  • Recognised electrical/ electronics qualification and/or apprenticeship or equivalent.
  • Post qualification experience of electronics and electrical maintenance in an industrial manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in three phase systems and fault finding


Responsibilities
As a Maintenance Electrician, you will:

  • Maintain service and clean electrical/ mechanical installation items within the manufacturer's recommendations.
  • Identify and rectify in a timely manner, electrical, electronic and control system faults that lead to non-production in any area of the plant/ offices and to help, where possible, in mechanical breakdown and service
  • Make recommendations on improvements to any system in the plant in order to improve safety and efficiency
  • Plate and strip the press and assist in any other area of production as directed
