About the Role
I am working on behalf of a busy and well-established litigation team who are seeking a full-time Litigation Solicitor. In this role, you will manage a varied caseload of civil and personal injury claims, taking responsibility for all aspects of case progression from initial client contact through to settlement or court hearing. You will work closely with colleagues, Counsel, and external experts, providing high-quality advice and advocacy while developing your professional expertise in a supportive and collaborative environment.
About You
- Qualified Northern Ireland solicitor with around 2 years' PQE in litigation, ideally with experience handling personal injury claims.
- Highly organised, professional, and adaptable, able to manage a busy caseload with exceptional attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to engage confidently with clients, colleagues, insurers, and other stakeholders.
- Solutions-focused, proactive, and able to work independently or collaboratively within a team.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage your own caseload, primarily comprising County Court litigation.
- Handle claims relating to road traffic accidents, including credit hire claims, accidents at work, trips/slips/falls, cycling accidents, and motorbike accidents.
- Draft pleadings, issue court proceedings, and negotiate settlements.
- Liaise effectively with clients, insurers, experts, and Counsel.
- Provide a high standard of client care and maintain strong professional relationships.
- Contribute to a positive team environment, supporting colleagues and sharing best practices.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Strong knowledge of Northern Ireland Civil Procedure and litigation processes.
- Demonstrable experience in personal injury or civil litigation.
- Proven ability to manage cases independently.
- Strong drafting and advocacy skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Good organisational and time management abilities.
- Understanding of risk management in litigation.
- Ability to provide exceptional client care throughout the case lifecycle.
