Litigation Solicitor - Personal Injury (Plaintiff)

Location: Ballymoney
Position Type: Full-time

About the Role


A well-established and growing law firm in Ballymoney is seeking a motivated and ambitious Litigation Solicitor to join its team. This role focuses on plaintiff personal injury litigation, including road traffic accidents, workplace accidents, slips/trips, serious injury claims, and related matters.
This is an excellent long-term opportunity, offering a genuine pathway to partnership for the right candidate.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a full and varied caseload of plaintiff personal injury claims
  • Handle all stages of litigation, including liability assessment, quantum evaluation, negotiation, and court advocacy
  • Conduct client meetings, provide clear legal advice, and maintain strong client relationships
  • Work collaboratively with barristers where required
  • Maintain high standards of client care and communication
  • Contribute to business development and help strengthen the firm's personal injury practice
  • Mentor junior staff or support staff as necessary
  • Stay updated on relevant legislation, case law, and court procedure

Person Specification


Essential:

  • Qualified Solicitor (NI)
  • Strong experience handling personal injury claims (plaintiff-focused preferred)
  • Confident advocacy and negotiation skills
  • Excellent drafting, analysis, and communication abilities
  • Ability to manage a busy caseload independently
  • Strong client care focus

Desirable:

  • Experience working on serious injury or fatal accident claims
  • Experience developing or managing a client base
  • Interest in business development or future leadership
  • Membership of relevant professional associations (e.g., PI-focused bodies)
