Litigation Solicitor

Job Description

Join a Leading Firm - Work on Complex, High-Impact Litigation Cases

We are proud to be partnering with a top-tier Northern Ireland law firm to recruit a Litigation Solicitor for their well-established and highly regarded litigation team in Belfast. This is an outstanding opportunity to work on some of the most complex and meaningful personal injury cases in the region - including medical negligence, industrial disease, and brain injury claims.

This role is ideal for a solicitor seeking varied, high-quality litigation work. While the caseload will primarily focus on plaintiff matters, there is also the opportunity to handle defence litigation for those interested in a mixed practice.

All levels of PQE will be considered, and the firm offers a supportive, progressive environment where your development and wellbeing are prioritised.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a broad range of personal injury claims, including high-value and sensitive cases involving medical negligence, brain injury, and industrial disease

  • Act on behalf of both Plaintiffs and Defendants (depending on your preference and experience)

  • Handle asbestos-related litigation as part of your portfolio

  • Draft legal documents, engage with counsel and expert witnesses, and provide clear, strategic advice to clients

  • Represent clients at hearings, mediations, and settlement discussions

  • Maintain strong client relationships and contribute to the overall success of the team

About You:

  • Qualified Solicitor in Northern Ireland

  • Experience in personal injury or civil litigation (medical negligence and disease litigation experience highly desirable but not essential)

  • Excellent communication, file management, and client care skills

  • A motivated, collaborative mindset with a passion for high-quality legal work

  • Ability to work independently with appropriate supervision and support

What's on Offer:

  • Salary: £40,000-£55,000, depending on experience

  • Performance-based bonus

  • Private medical insurance and other benefits

  • Generous annual leave and additional wellbeing days

  • Flexible working arrangements to support a healthy work-life balance

  • Regular staff wellbeing initiatives and team social events

  • Ongoing professional development with a clear path for progression

This is a fantastic opportunity to grow your litigation career in a respected firm, while working on high-value, life-changing cases that make a real difference. If you're ready to take the next step in a supportive, forward-thinking team, we'd love to hear from you.
