VANRATH are delighted to be assisting a fantastic FMCG (Food) based company with the recruitment of a Lead Hygiene Supervisor. Fantastic company to work in.

This will be based in the Company's site in Strabane - Permanent Role

Monday - Friday position - Afternoon Start Time

Responsibilities:

Take full control of the Hygiene team on site, ensuring the teams are correctly skilled and all Hygiene policies and legislation are adhered to.

Main Duties:

  • Ensure employee and product safety at all times.
  • Coordinate, via Team Leaders all Hygiene shift personnel to ensure hygiene is completed to standard as per schedule, whilst maintaining a safe, efficient and cost effective operation.
  • Maximise continuous improvement opportunities in all areas, through review of operations and implementing improvements.
  • Motivate and encourage a team by developing team work and supporting effective communications.
  • Accepting personal accountability for health and safety, training and development, resolution of employee relation issues and concerns.
  • Setting targets, ensuring these are measured and monitored and to capture Key Performance Indicators, minimising waste.
  • Budgetary control of the shift, reducing spend where possible and drive cost saving ideas.
  • Work with other departments in a team approach to provide an effective and efficient service to the Operations Manager and departments.

Skills:

  • Experience in similar role
  • Understanding of BRC standards
  • Understanding of GMP
  • Good standard of spoken and written English, which will allow written instructions to be read and effectively communicated.
  • Solid level of numeracy - ability to calculate and report on performance.
  • A high level of flexibility is required.
