Labourer (Public Sector)
VANRATH are assisting our client, a large Public Sector Organisation, in their search for an experienced Labourer who can join their Portadown team within social housing sector. 3 months initially with the possibility of extension.
Responsibilities
To undertake all Labouring work associated with maintenance and refurbishment of buildings including and not limited to:
Assisting other co-workers as required
Domestic waste removal from buildings/roof-spaces/external areas etc
Carrying out minor painting duties as required
Carrying out cleaning/removal of rubbish from domestic properties and communal areas
Cleaning stairwells
Carrying out power washing
Assisting scaffolder to erecting platforms/scaffold
Erecting clothesline pole
Assisting in the lifting of heavy/bulky rubbish and assist in construction or demolition of structures and buildings
Collection and delivery of materials to site
Assisting with ground works and mixing aggregates as required
Clear gullies, gutters, downpipes as necessary
Requirements
Full UK Driving Licence
Must have sound knowledge of construction industry
Must be able to work independently
Good working knowledge of Health and Safety in the Workplace
Excellent attention to detail and accurate record keeping a must
Experience in a similar role is desirable
Access NI Required
Remuneration
c£24,404 per annum, plus discount benefits. A form of transport will be provided to enable the post holder to carry out their duties.
