VANRATH are pleased to be working with an industry leading agri-food company that are seeking to recruit a Key Account Manager to play an integral part of our continued growth strategy.
Salary
£35,000 - £55,000 (junior and senior candidates considered)
The Role
- Develop and secure new accounts primarily within food service and non-retail sectors
- Identifying new business opportunities, including new markets, new clients, new partnerships or new products and services in line with business development strategy
- Creating strategies to successfully reach new business opportunities
- Building relationships with new clients, gauging their needs and developing proposals to address these needs
- Report on Customer KPI's
- Assist in the delivering of PR and marketing campaigns
- Conduct customer review meetings
- Management of customer questionnaires/store visits and audits
- Management of Service Level Agreements
- Arranging and attending client/potential client meetings where applicable
- Compose relevant proposals for potential customers
- Respond to and follow up on sales enquiries, customer enquiries, complaints
- Liaise with NPD and Technical Departments on product development and launches
- Participation in continuous improvement project work
- Any other duties and reasonable tasks within your capability as set out by Management.
The Ideal Candidate
- Degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline OR a minimum of 3 years relevant experience
- Experience in the food industry is advantageous
- Strong commercial awareness
- Demonstrable experience in sales and marketing within the FMCG industry
- Organised and able to prioritise own workload
- Excellent negotiation skills
- Experience of working under pressure and to tight deadlines
- Good oral and written communication skills (Sufficient level of written and spoken English to maintain levels of safety)
- Ability to work with minimum supervision and coherently with other team members
- Flexibility with working times to ensure consistency of service level agreements
