I am pleased to be recruiting for a Junior Accountant for one of the largest property and liability insurance companies in the US. The Role
This role is vital to the financial function of Allstate and the successful candidate will report to the Assistant Controller based in the United States. As a Junior Accountant, your role will be varied as you are responsible for the timely closing of the general ledger and the financial reporting of the accounting team. The successful individual will be responsible for the fowling tasks daily:

  • Actively participate in the month end close including preparation of balance sheet account reconciliations, account rollforwards, and other supporting schedules as necessary
  • Analyse issues and present and recommend potential solutions
  • Develop analysis and reporting sets in support of the monthly closing process
  • Assist in the formulation and preparation of monthly and annual reporting requirements
  • Assist in the coordination on internal and external audits
  • Assists in ensuring the internal control environment documentation


The Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will have a degree level qualification in Accountancy/Finance or a similar discipline. Alternatively, a degree in another discipline with a postgraduate qualification in accountancy or finance is also acceptable. An intermediate knowledge of Excel is also required and previous experience of pivot tables/ V- lookups is favourable.
