Our public sector client is seeking a skilled and reliable Joiner to join their in-house maintenance and projects team. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a stable, community-focused environment, delivering essential services across a varied property portfolio.
The Role
The successful candidate will undertake a wide range of joinery works across occupied and unoccupied public sector buildings. Work will include both planned and reactive maintenance, as well as minor refurbishment projects.
Key responsibilities include:
Carrying out first and second fix joinery works
Installation and repair of doors, windows, kitchens, flooring, and fittings
Reading and interpreting drawings and specifications
Ensuring all work complies with current health & safety regulations
Working collaboratively with other trades and site supervisors
Providing a professional, customer-focused service to building users
Candidate Requirements
Time-served Joiner or equivalent recognised qualification
Proven experience in maintenance and/or refurbishment environments
Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
Strong awareness of health & safety procedures
Full UK driving licence (essential)
Disclosure/PVG check will be required due to the nature of the client
