IT Service Manager (Uo to £45K) (Belfast) (Hybrid)

Vanrath is delighted to be recruiting for an IT Service Manager for a large public sector organisation based in Belfast on an intiial temp ongoing contract with scope for extension. The IT Service Manager performs a critical role managing the company's IT Services within a large complex technical environment. The Service Manager will be responsible for service performance, stakeholder relationships and liaising with multiple suppliers to ensure continuous service improvement on a daily basis.


  • The IT Service Manager will be responsible for managing the day to day running of the Service Desk, and will be the main point of contact for senior escalations.
  • Provide leadership in the development, maintenance and operation of the IT Service processes in line with ITIL principles including:

    • Incident management
    • Service request management
    • Change management
    • Problem management
    • Contract/SLA management
    • IT related procurement
    • IT Asset management
    • IT Service reporting
    • Continual service improvement

Essential Criteria

  • 3 years experience in an IT Service Manager role within a large organisation
  • Experience of managing a team including planning, prioritising and managing resources
  • Can demonstrate strong Microsoft Office Skills
  • Ability to showcase an understanding of enterprise-level technology
